Consolidated Aggregates Primer 100 is a premixed extreme bonding agent designed to improve adhesion between concrete overlay mixes and stable concrete or other properly prepared substrates. Its EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) formulation creates a strong bond coat for concrete repair, resurfacing, and decorative overlay applications.
Primer 100 is applied as a very thin primer bond coat using a roller, brush, or spray equipment. It has an average working time of approximately 5 to 15 minutes and can be used on properly prepared concrete as well as painted or sealed concrete, masonry, plaster, drywall, glass, glazed tile, Styrofoam, and other challenging substrates.
Common applications include preparing surfaces for Pro Bond Ultra, SwiftSet Self Leveler, Wall Mix, Stamp Mix, and Smooth Coat. Using Primer 100 before compatible concrete overlay materials helps create the strong bond needed between the existing substrate and the new cementitious layer.
